ALCAN PACKAGING FOOD EUROPE SCOOPS A SILVER AT STARPACK!

Alcan Packaging Food Europe celebrated another success for their innovative Tpod. Already securing a gold Alufoil Trophy earlier in the year, Alcan Packaging has now been awarded a silver prize from the prestigious Starpack UK Awards, organised by the Institute of Packaging (IOP).

The innovative solution is a perforated stickpack designed by the pioneers Bistrozucker München for its latest Bistrotea Energy. This technically clever Tpod featuring graduated perforations in the body is available as a carbonated and non carbonated beverage.

 Under the motto "Stir it Up!" consumers simply dip the Tpod into a glass of water and stir to create an exciting drink. (250ml). Featuring Alcan Packaging Singen's springback foil development, the pack regains its shape after filling. The concept extends the market for Tpods from the more traditional tea and coffee, offering novel ideas to soft drinks manufacturers.
